If you have questions about warranty coverage, repairs, or defect claims, please contact our customer service team at service@minikey.net—we’re dedicated to addressing your needs promptly.
1. Warranty Coverage Area
Our warranty policy applies only to customers in the United States, Australia, and Canada. Orders shipped to regions outside these three countries are not eligible for MiniKey’s official warranty service.
2. Warranty Period & Eligibility
Warranty Period: We offer a 24-month free warranty starting from the date of delivery (based on the carrier’s delivery confirmation).
Eligible Products: All MiniKey physical products are covered (e.g., electronic devices, hardware accessories). Note: Digital products (such as subscription codes, software downloads) and customized/personalized items are excluded from the warranty, unless they have manufacturing defects.
Basic Requirement: Proof of purchase (e.g., order confirmation email, order number) must be provided when filing a warranty claim, and the product must have been purchased directly from MiniKey’s official website or authorized U.S./Australia/Canada retailers.
3. What the Warranty Covers
The warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that occur under normal use (following the product’s user manual) during the warranty period. This includes:
Product malfunctions caused by manufacturing errors (e.g., non-functional buttons, faulty charging ports for electronic devices).
Parts that fail to perform as intended due to material defects (e.g., broken structural components that are not caused by misuse).
If a covered defect is confirmed, we will either repair the product, replace the defective parts, or (in rare cases where repair/replacement is not feasible) offer a product exchange—all free of charge.
4. Warranty Exclusions (Not Covered)
No warranty service will be provided for issues caused by:
Customer Misuse/Neglect: Damage from improper use, neglect, accidental drops, spills (e.g., water damage), or failure to follow the user manual.
Environmental/External Factors: Damage from extreme weather (e.g., floods, high temperatures), wildlife (e.g., rodent chewed cables), or exposure to inappropriate materials (e.g., corrosive liquids).
Unauthorized Modifications: Repairs, disassembly, or modifications done by non-MiniKey authorized personnel, or use of non-original replacement parts.
Minor Variations: Small differences in product appearance or performance that do not affect functionality or reduce product value (e.g., slight color differences from product images).
Shipping Damage: Damage during transit that is not caused by MiniKey’s packaging error (we recommend contacting the carrier directly for such claims).
5. How to File a Warranty Claim
Follow these steps to submit a warranty request (only for U.S./Australia/Canada customers):
Send an email to service@minikey.net with the subject line “Warranty Claim – [Your Order Number]”.
Include the following details in your email:
Full name, shipping address (matching the order), and contact phone number.
Order number and delivery date.
Detailed description of the issue (e.g., “product won’t turn on after 1 month of use”).
Photos/videos (if applicable): Clear visuals of the defect or damage to help speed up the assessment.
Our team will review your claim within 2–3 business days and send a confirmation email with next steps (e.g., instructions for returning the product, if needed).
6. Warranty Claim Processing
Return Shipping (if required): For products that need inspection/repair, we will provide a pre-paid shipping label (free of charge for eligible claims) to ship the item back to our regional service center.
Repair/Replacement: After confirming the defect is covered by the warranty, we will either repair the product or replace defective parts within 7–10 business days of receiving the item. Replaced parts become the property of MiniKey.
Warranty Extension: Warranty service (repair or replacement) does not extend the original 24-month warranty period. The replaced parts or repaired product will only be covered for the remaining duration of the original warranty.
7. Force Majeure (No Liability)
MiniKey will not be liable for delays or failures to fulfill warranty obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control (“Force Majeure”), including but not limited to:
Public emergencies (e.g., pandemics, public health restrictions).
Government policies (e.g., import/export restrictions, shipping bans).
In such cases, we will suspend warranty services temporarily and extend the claim period by the duration of the Force Majeure event. We will notify you via email of any significant impacts to your claim.
8. Additional Terms
If there is a conflict between this warranty policy and other MiniKey website terms, this warranty policy shall prevail.
MiniKey reserves the right to update this policy periodically, but any changes will not reduce the core warranty benefits for existing customers.
If any term of this policy is deemed invalid or unenforceable, it will be separated from the rest, and the remaining terms will remain in effect.
